To the Hotel Durant (Berkeley, CA)

SHUTTLE

Bayporter Express is a private Shuttle service that can drive you from either Oakland International Airport or San Francisco International Airport to the Hotel Durant.

DRIVING

From Oakland Airport:
Follow Hegenberger Road to highway 880 North. As you approach downtown Oakland, follow the signs to highway 80 East, towards Sacramento. Exit on University Avenue. Take University up to Shattuck Avenue and take a right on Shattuck, then a left on Durant Ave. Drive up Durant 6 blocks. The hotel is located on the right hand side, on the corner of Bowditch and Durant.

From San Francisco International Airport:
Take highway 101 North towards San Francisco. Once you are in San Francisco, follow the signs to the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Bridge (80 East). Cross the Bridge and continue on 80 East towards Sacramento. Exit on University Avenue. Take University up to Shattuck Avenue and take a right on Shattuck, then a left on Durant Ave. Drive up Durant 6 blocks. The hotel is located on the right hand side, on the corner of Bowditch and Durant.

From Interstate 5(Los Angeles):
Take highway 580 West towards San Francisco. Continue onto 80 East towards Sacramento. Exit on University Avenue. Take University up to Shattuck Avenue and take a right on Shattuck, then a left on Durant Ave. Drive up Durant 6 blocks. The hotel is located on the right hand side, on the corner of Bowditch and Durant.

From Walnut Creek/Highway 24:
Take highway 24 West to Tunnel Road. Take Tunnel Road until it becomes Ashby Avenue. Continue down Ashby to College Avenue. Turn right on College, and proceed down College to Channing Way. Take a left on Channing. Go one block to Bowditch Avenue and turn right. The hotel parking lot is located mid-block on your right, between Channing and Durant.

From Sacramento:
Take highway 80 West toward San Francisco. Exit on University Avenue. Take University up to Shattuck Avenue and take a right on Shattuck, then a left on Durant Ave. Drive up Durant 6 blocks. The hotel is located on the right hand side, on the corner of Bowditch and Durant.

From San Jose:
Take highway 880 North. As you approach downtown Oakland, follow the signs to highway 80 East, towards Sacramento. Exit on University Avenue. Take University up to Shattuck Avenue and take a right on Shattuck, then a left on Durant Ave. Drive up Durant 6 blocks. To the Campus (UC Berkeley)

When you arrive at the Berkeley campus, we encourage you to stop by Visitor Services in Room 101 of University Hall, located at the corner of University Avenue and Oxford Street.

Below you'll find directions for reaching the Berkeley campus by car. Also, see the online campus map. Due to limited parking availability, we recommend that you use public transportation whenever possible.

From San Francisco, the San Francisco airport, and points south on northbound Highway 101:
• Follow U.S. 101 north and then switch to I-80 east, and take it across the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge
• Stay left as you get off the Bay Bridge and take I-80 east heading to Berkeley & Sacramento
• Exit I-80 onto University Avenue
• Continue east on University Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles to Oxford Street at the western edge of the campus

From Oakland, the Oakland airport, Hayward or San Jose on northbound I-880:
• Stay in left center lanes on I-880 when you reach downtown Oakland
• Exit I-80 east (to Berkeley)
• Exit I-80 at University Avenue
• Continue east on University Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles to Oxford Street

From the East Bay on eastbound Highway 24:
• From Highway 24 exit at Telegraph Ave. and take a right on Telegraph
• Continue on Telegraph until it ends at the southside of campus on Bancroft
• Make a left on Bancroft
• Make a right on Fulton, which will become Oxford Street in two blocks
• Continue on Oxford to University

From the East Bay on northbound Highway 13:
• Highway 13 ends and becomes Tunnel Road
• Continue on Tunnel Road. Tunnel Road becomes Ashby Avenue near the Claremont Hotel Continue on Ashby
• Turn right at Shattuck Avenue
• Turn right at University Avenue and continue east one block to Oxford Street and the western edge of the campus

From the East Bay on I-80 bound either east or west:
• Exit University Avenue
• Continue east on University Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles to Oxford Street

From the East Bay on westbound I-580:
• Exit I-80 East (to Berkeley & Sacramento)
• Exit at University Avenue
• Continue east on University Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles to Oxford Street

To Tolman Hall from the intersection of University Avenue and Oxford Street:
• Turn left (north) on Oxford off of University
• Turn right on Hearst
• Continue up the hill on Hearst until you reach Tolman Hall, which will be on the right

To the Berkeley Evaluation and Assessment Research (BEAR) Center:
